Kore wa Zonbi Desu ka aka Is this a Zombie was a popular anime series that abruptly ended in 2012. The anime TV show was adapted from Light novel series of same name created by Shinichi Kimura.
The first season of the TV series aired in 2011. There were no plans of a second season but since the first season met a huge fanfare so the Funimation studios placed a bet on second season. Interestingly the second season consisted of only 10 episodes but it surpassed the success of season 1.
The series ended on a cliff hanger and ever since then fans are waiting for a third season. In 2020, after testing fans patience, Funimation studios has decided to add Is this a Zombie season 3 in their 2021 calendar.
The show will enter in production stage by the end of 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic ends. Funimation studio is considering to release the Third season by fall of 2021.
