BARC or better known as Broadcast Audience Research Council India releases TRP of Indian serials every week. The BARC TRP rating of Indian serials changes almost every other week. All Indian TV channels try to provide utmost entertainment to their audience in order to gain edge in the latest TRP ratings of Hindi serials.

Target Rating Point or TRP tells us about the popularity of a TV show and also of the TV channel overall.

We will discuss about how BARC collects its data in detail later on but first of all without any further ado let’s take a look on the Top 10 Most watched TV channels of this week (28 December 2018 Week 52).

BARC uses the Audio watermarking method to get statistics about the impressions gained by a TV channel and a TV serial. These audios are not audible to us humans but they are easily detected by audio detecting hardware.

Using this data BARC creates a BARO meter which measures the popularity of a TV serial and TV channel.
