Top Films of 2013
So 2013 has ended and You might be looking for some good 2013 movies to rent on dvd. Obviously the popular choices would be those films of 2013 that were blockbuster at box office. But as compared to 2011 and 2012, the year 2013 in movies was not financially successful. As compared to previous 2 years only two films Ironman 3 and Frozen were able to cross the golden “Billion Dollar” mark. Still, 2013 was profitable for major film production companies.
More than 400 titles were released world wide in the year 2013. Many of them did favorably good business at box office. FilmSchoolWTF team picked out 50 best movies of 2013 from the vast list of 2013 films. Movies were chosen on the basis of their performance at box office, ratings on popular sites and recognition at various film award ceremonies.
We tried to include films of almost all genre – From Animation,action,family, comedy to romance and horror movies of 2013. It may happen that you may not find your favorite 2013 film in the list. You’re more than welcome to point out if we missed any good film from 2013.
Please note that we have not included any documentary film in the list despite the fact that many documentary films did above average business and were also critically acclaimed in 2013. Also note that the films included in the list were released from the time period – 1st January 2013 to 31st December 2013. So we’ve not included films that were initially released in 2012 and found success in 2013 (For Example – Mud and The Hunt).
