Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens
The Original Star Wars Trilogy by George Lucas is not only considered one of the greatest sci fi film of all time but also had an everlasting impact on pop culture. Generations have passed but the Star wars Saga is still considered as one of the finest pieces of cinematic history. The Prequel trilogy released 16 years after Return of Jedi (1983) didn’t met universal acclaim but still managed to do a profitable business. Now again after 16 years we are set to see another Star Wars Trilogy. Thanks to Disney studios which bought LucasFilms in 2012 (with a whooping price of $4.1 Billion) and announced that a new Star Wars Trilogy will be produced and it will continue the epic Star Wars Saga.
Since then every other online news portal is trying to cover as much as they can about the next star wars film. From leaked photos to plot details we have come to know a lot about Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens but it would not be fair to leak all the details. Here is an overview of Next star wars movie:
Director Of Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens
George Lucas was in favor of JJ Abrams since day 1 of the announcement of next star wars film. He was impressed from Abrams work on Sci fi film Super 8 and of course who can forget his contribution in re-awakening the Star Trek series in 2009. Of course he is the perfect choice as the director and he will surely awaken the epic saga.
Cast of Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens
As soon as the name of the director was announced in 2013 everyone wanted to know if the original cast would return. Most theories making rounds on internet were that Luke Skywalker will somehow adapt the dark side of Force just like his father Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. For the die-hard fan boys and also for the continuity of the theme of Star Wars, it was must for the original cast to return. We got the good news in 2013 itself when it was announced the Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison ford would return as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and fan favorite Han Solo. Droid R2D2 and C-3PO will return as well along with Han Solo’s sidekick Chewbaca played by Peter Mayhew. However we were not aware about the other Star wars characters that are going to be introduced in the new film. In 2014 it was revealed that British actor John Boyega is playing a central role as Finn who is a stormtrooper. British actress Daisy Ridley will play Rey who originates from planet Jakku. Oscar Isaac will play Poe Dameron who is a pilot. Popular actor Max Von Sydow and Andy Serkis will also play pivotal role in the film.
Star Wars The Force Awakens Story and Plot
The story of Star Wars Episode VII will start 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. In Return of the Jedi evil Lord Commander Darth Vader was killed thus implying the win of bright side of force on the Dark Side. However this never meant that the dark side will never strike back. Looking from the characters and the introduction of new planets it is assumed that the dark side of force has come into action again and this time the big baddie will be Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver). He is said to be in a Darth Vader like role and will be the driving force of the new trilogy. Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) is master of Kylo ren and he would be the one who is establishing the evil empire in the universe. It would be interesting to see that how a stormtrooper (Finn) decide to stand against the evil First Order and who will help him. He is probably filling the Luke Skywalker hero character in new Star Wars Trilogy. Oscar Isaac’s Poe will be an anti-hero like Han Solo.
