Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt to star in Karan Johar and Shakun Batra’s Next Film

Fawad Khan to Play Brother of Sidharth Malhotra

Actor Sidharth Malhotra who has recently finished shooting of his film ‘Brothers’ with Akshay Kumar is ready for his next film. Once again Sidharth will play brother but this time he will be working under Dharma Productions. Shakun Batra who directed Ekk Main aur Ekk Tu (with Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor) is coming with his second film which is yet to be titled. It was around two months ago when report came out that Director Shakun Batra has written a script for Karan Johar but KJo rejected it citing the topic to be too off limits. But recently Karan Johar tweeted praising about Shakun Batra and saying that how much he has liked the new script that is written by Shakun batra in a short period of two months.

As soon as Karan got his hands on the script he soon visualized the perfect actors to play the role. His choice was his ‘Student of the Year’ team with Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan playing the brothers and Alia bhatt once again playing their love interest. But as Varun Dhawan has already given dates for Shahrukh Khan and Rohit Shetty’s next so it will be Sidharth Malhotra and Alia bhatt only.

However, Karan soon found a replacement that was as charming as Varun Dhawan. Pakistan Actor Fawad Khan who impressed the Indian audience with his TV series ‘Zindagi Guljaar hai’ and his film ‘Khoobsurat’ opposite Sonam Kapoor might play brother of Sidharth Malhotra in Shakun Batra’s film.

The earlier script was reportedly rejected by Karan Johar because one of the brother was g@y. The basic plot was that two brothers are spending vacations on a hill station and there one brother reveal his secret to the other. Karan Johar was more interested in a family centered film to target more audience so he asked for a change in the script. It is still not known if the plot is same or not but it would be excited to see two charming actors of India and Pakistan to star together as brother in one film.

Sidharth Malhotra is already cutting down on his size that he gained for his role in Brothers. Sidharth has set target to lose around 8 kg of weight by March. The shooting of the film will start in April 2015 and the film will be released later this year.
