‘Godzilla’ Trailer Out – Will Bryan Cranston’s film Break Record at Box Office?

Official HD Trailer of Godzilla 2014

So finally the trailer of Godzilla – One of the most awaited film of the year – is out. By the looks of it one can say “This is how to make a monster film”. Bryan Cranston who stars in the lead role looks very frantic in the trailer. Ken Wantabe, Elisabeth Olsen and Aaron taylor Johnson are also featured in the trailer. But whats missing is the Monster itself. You could have a split second view of the Godzilla in the trailer but still the trailer was able to maintain the horror and thrill of a monster flick. Could it keep up that momentum in the theatres? Could it break records at box office and become the highest grossing film of the year or highest grossing monster flick at least (Jaws being the leader in the list)?

The last attempt to make a picture on this legendary monster was 16 years ago in 1998. Roland Emmerich (Independence Day Fame) directed the film with Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno in lead roles. The film was successful at box office but this time fans are having high expectance from this flick.

The trailer of Godzilla 2014 shows ‘Breaking Bad’ star Bryan Cranston summing up all his fears for the monster that has awaken and is going to destroy humanity. Bryan is playing the role of Nuclear Physicist Joseph Brody. He is father of Lieutenant Ford Brody (Played by Aaron taylor Johnson). The trailer shows Joseph fears for the monster and he even says that “It can send us back to the stone age”.

I will rate the trailer 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. Bryan Cranston’s panic-stricken voice fills up the void between the thrill and horror of the legendary monster. Godzilla is set to release on 16th May 2014. The film is co produced by Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures with a Budget of $160 Million. It will be exciting to see if this monster flick will give any competition to the top grossing films. What you Say?
