The Wall is finally down. In Game of thrones world it is only a matter of days before the white walkers attack the north. But in real world we have to wait much longer as Game of Thrones Season 8 has been pushed back to 2019.
It is for the first time (and last time :() in the history of the show that HBO pushed back Game of thrones for a whole calendar year.
I am sorry but I don’t have any tips on how to survive for this long. But maybe this post would help you to lower down the pain as we bring you the latest updates and news regarding Game of Thrones Season 8.
Recap of Game of Thrones Season 7
Okay before we continue let’s take a quick recap on where season 7 left-off.
In the Grand finale we saw a huge gathering of all our favourite characters from Jon Snow to Cersei Lannister. Even Podrick was there too.
Cersei falsely promised Jon and Daenerys that she will give troop support to them in war against white walkers.
After knowing the truth Jaime left for North, abandoning cersei and probably joining the Northern Army.
Jon and Dany made out. Gross. I wonder how there face will be when they get to know the true identity of Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen.
Tyrion looked a little suspicious while looking at the closed door of Jon and Dany on ship. Probably he schemed something with Cersei and going to betray Dany.
Sansa and Arya became best buds and took revenge from Littlefinger.
Bran met Sam and the true name of Jon Snow is revealed.
In the end we saw the wall coming down, thanks to the reanimated corpse of Viserion. Also did you notice how the Wight army was forming the Stark Sigil (Direwolf)?
Release Date Of Game of Thrones Season 8
So What can we expect from Game of Thrones Season 8? This will be the last season of Game of Thrones saga. So who is going to survive it till the end? Who will win? Here is everything you need to know about Game of Thrones Season 8.
When is Game of Thrones Season 8 Going to Premiere? It will not air in 2018. HBO executive producers stated that Game of Thrones Season 8 will be CGI heavy. It will require good amount of time in Post-Production.
Also HBO is avoiding any kind of leak for the final season. So the shooting of Season 8 will take place under tight security. The online database will also be secured so that there are no future hacks.
The exact air date of Game of Thrones Season 8 is not yet revealed by inside sources has stated that Season 8 of Game of Thrones will return by April 2019.
Who Will Survive Game Of Thrones
The Night King with his Wight army is marching North. Dany and Jon are sailing toward Winterfell in their boats. Jaime is also travelling to winterfell.
Tormund and Beric were on the wall at eastwatch when Night King destroyed it with his dragon. So are they dead now?
As Game of thrones Season 7 protected its characters even in the extreme situations so it is safe to say that the duo survived the attack. They will probably run back to winterfell to tell the others that wall is down now.
I don’t know why it would be necessary as the Omni-potent God, Bran is sitting right there in Winterfell.
Seventh season was more of a fan service and therefore it lacked shock factor. Game of thrones became famous due to its shocking deaths. Interestingly Season 7 placed each character on the edge of life and death but in the end life won (except for Littlefinger, sorry).
We do not want Season 8 to be so safe. George RR Martin cleared in an interview that the ending of the Game of Thrones saga is bittersweet. So if the channel follows his guideline then it would mean that both novel and TV series will conclude with the same note.
A hell lot of characters will die in season 8 but we believe that Jon Snow will survive all this.
You know what I think about the last scene of the series – Jon Snow aka Aegon targaryen sitting on the iron throne while the camera zooming in his eyes along with voices of Long Live the king.
Cersei, Sansa, Tyrion and Jaime won’t survive the war. Daenreys will die in the last episode. Brienne and Tormund will make a happy couple. Podrick and Sam will live to tell the tale to their grand kids. Bran would exile in the North. Arya will be the knight chief in Jon’s army.
Theon, Berric and Hound will die heroic deaths. Lyanna Mormont would survive but her uncle Jorah won’t be so lucky. Davos might survive. Melisandre and Varys will die. Grey Worm and Missandei might survive and live as a happy couple.
Sorry but the Dragons will die too.
