What Indian audience exactly want? Is It Romance? or Comedy? Or Crime? Or Action? or may Be Drama? Still Confused? Why not mix all these genres in one film and blend it with popular superstars in lead roles and lots of punches. A sure formula for success which is followed lots of Indian film makers today. Arbaaz Khan produced Dabangg is the first film and actual trend setter of this formula. It set another trend of Action-Comedy cop movies which were lost since Shehanshah. Dabangg is a predictable film yet you will admire several points in the film. The chemistry between actors (Salman Khan-Sonu Sood, Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha) was great. With lots of action and comedy in the film, No wonder it turned out to be one of the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time.

Plot: Dabangg follows the story of Chulbul Pandey who lives with his step father, step brother and mother. Since Childhood he has faced partiality from his father. This made him hard and tough. When Chulbul grows up he become a Police inspector in the Lalgunj district of Uttar Pradesh. However Chulbul is not what an Ideal Cop should be. He robs the robbers and keeps the money to himself. He also calls himself Robinhood Pandey. His popularity increases within the city and he become an archenemy of aspiring Politician and Body Builder Chedi Singh(Sonu Sood). This is where the action begins. Chulbul falls in love with a local girl named Rajjo. Things worsen when his mother is killed by Chedi Singh and his step father and step brother rejects any relationship with him. Desperate for Revenge Chulbul close down his beverage factory. Chedi singh frames Chulbul’s own Brother Makhi singh in murder of popular politician. With all the odds Against him, Chulbul stands up and fight for one last time – for his pride, for his love, for his family and for the country.

The Good: Plot and Salman Khan
Salman Khan is the man who made Chulbul pandey equally funny and no-non sense attitude person at the same time. Sonu sood as Chedi singh also gets lots of claps from audience. The plot was not that much perfect but it still was a Blockbuster plot.

The Bad: Overly done action sequences
What might not be admired by critics will be the overly done action sequences. Salman Khan did some action sequences Inspired from Hollywood Blockbuster ‘The Matrix’ but lots of the action was overly done. A Man beating up more than 2 dozen person bare handed is hard to digest. But who cares – it is just a work of fiction – A Blockbuster fiction.

Should I Watch It?: Without a Doubt.
