The Biggest Show of the year, the academy awards are just a few weeks away. The 87th Academy Awards will take place at Dolby Theatre (Hollywood, LA, California). Nomination list for Academy Awards 2015 was out on 15th January 2015. We are predicting here the possible winners for academy awards 2015.

Academy Award For Best Production Design 2015

The Grand Budapest Hotel is likely to win the Academy Award for Best Art Direction or Oscar for Best Production Design.

5. Mr Turner

Roger Deakins may win Academy award for Best Cinematography for the film Unbroken.

Academy Award For Best Makeup 2015

The duo of Elizabeth and David White deserves to win Oscar for Best Makeup for the film Guardians of the Galaxy.

Academy Award For Best Costume Design 2015

4. Maleficent
5. Mr Turner

The Grand Budapest Hotel should win this award but it may probably go to Colleen Atwood for Into the Woods.

Sandra Adair surely deserves academy for her expert editing of Richard Linklater’s Boyhood.

While many critics will favor the Interstellar team, our support will be to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes team for providing the best visual effects of 2015.

While Fans desperately wants Rosamund Pike to win Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Gone Girl, yet it is less likely that she will come in between the award winning streak of Julianne moore for Still Alice.

It would be good to see ‘America’s Funniest Man’ Steve Carell to hold his first Oscar. Many die hard fans will surely love to see Bradley cooper win his first oscar after three consecutive nominations (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle). Many critics are even looking at young Eddie Redmayne to win Academy award for his performance in The Theory of Everything. However it is very hard for all of them to surpass the eccentric performance delivered by veteran actor Michael Keaton in Birdman. Surely Michael Keaton will grab his first academy award for Best Actor.

Richard Linklater took 12 years for making one classic film – Boyhood. He deserves to win Academy award for Best Director.

Academy Award For Best Picture 2015

A Total of 8 movies are nominees for Best Picture Oscar in 2015. Here are the nominees:

The main competition is between Birdman and Boyhood. Many critics wanted David Fincher’s Gone Girl too in the list but sadly it didn’t made to the final list. The two biopic movies ‘The Theory of Everything’ and ‘The Imitation Game’ are also among the favorites of many critics. But the strongest contender among the nominees is Richard Linklater’s Boyhood. The Film took 12 years of filming and topped several lists of best movies of 2014. So, The Academy Award For Best Picture of 2015 will (most probably) go to BOYHOOD.
