Which Hindi Film You want to see on 13th September 2013
Oh, What a Friday!!! 13th September 2013 – The Second Friday of September will see release of movies covering almost every genre. You have an adult comedy, a romantic comedy, an action thriller and a horror film. So you have a good option to prefer your favorite genre. Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express has finally come to halt, John Abraham’s Madras Café bombed at box office (despite getting favorable reviews from critics), Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha eventually did good business at box office. However, it was not as good as other Prakash Jha films. Thanks to the star studded cast that helped the film to survive at box office. Previous Friday’s release Zanjeer (aka Toofan in Telugu) and Shudh Desi Romance are yet to be analyzed. However, Priyanka Chopra, Ram Charan Teja and Sanjay Dutt starrer Zanjeer is panned by critics, yet it was able to do better business then Shudh Desi Romance which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra along with Vaani Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in supporting roles. The film got mixed to favorable reviews.
But What’s Up with this Friday? Here take a look on this Friday’s releases:
1. Grand Masti:
Bollywood is slowly sinking into Adult Comedies. Yesteryear’s Kya Super Kool hai Hum starring Ritesh Deshmukh and Tushar Kapoor did good business at box office. Probably inspired from the success of that film classic adult comedy Masti(2004) is back with a new avatar (and same old cast). Many film pundits are predicting that Grand Masti will do a good business at box office and it might be the next hit in the series of Blockbusters this year. Starring Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi and Ritesh Deshmukh in lead roles, the film follows the life of 3 Husbands who are not happy with their married lives. Its not a family film so i wonder if it could really cross the 100 crore mark.
2. I Love New Year:
The second film to release this friday is Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut starer I Love New Year. It is a romantic comedy, but i wonder how the pairing of 26 year old Kangana and 56 year old Sunny deol work. Its Bollywood, anything is possible. The music of the film is good. There is no doubt that Sunny deol has his own cult following and may be it will help the film. However, People are more interested in his next film ‘Singh Sahab: The Great’.
3. John Day:
When you’ve Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda in a film, you can expect it to be good. The film has is produced by previous cult favorite film ‘A Wednesday’ which also starred in Naseeruddin Shah. John Day may also become a cult favorite but sadly in Bollywood, the films that are critical hit do not become blockbuster at box office.
4. Horror Story:
This year might break the record in number of Bollywood horror films released in a single year. In the series of this year’s horror films, the next is Horror Story. Horror story do not have a big name attached to it. Its because film’s producer and writer Vikram Bhatt wanted it look more realistic and scary. Vikram has previously directed horror films as 1920, Raaz and Haunted. This year no horror film did good at box office, lets see if this one will do any wonder.
