Bollywood Films Releasing On 14th March 2014
The year 2014 has not been as lucky and successful to many stars as was 2013. Though it is just the start of the year but if we compare the box office business of movies released in this period then it is much lesser as compared to the films released during this period in 2013. The year’s first month saw the release of one of the most anticipated bollywood film of the year “Jai Ho”. Salman Khan was absent at box office in 2013 and people were expecting a bang from him after a hiatus of 1 year. His fans were expecting that Jai Ho will break Dhoom 3 records but that didn’t happened and the film struggled at box office even to get into the 100 Crore club. Though til now it is the highest grossing bollywood film of the year. Til now no other film have given competition to Jai Ho. Lets see if films releasing this friday (14th March 2014) will give any competition to Jai Ho.
March has been a lucky month for “Roadies” fame Ayushmann Khurrana. After all his first film Vicky Donor released in this month two years back and not only set records at box office but also is now cited as one of the finest movies of bollywood. Though his second film “Nautanki Sala” failed to impress critics but we can have hopes from “Bewkoofiyan” After All Ayushmann is not the only reason. The film stars h0t and $exy Sonam Kapoor who for the first time in her career has wrapped the hot Bikini Avatar. Bollywood’s legendary actor Rishi Kapoor too play a pivotal role as Sonam’s characters father. Also this is second film from the Vicky Donor team. Lets See if this Romantic Comedy film will be able to give any competition the last friday’s Gulaab Gang which is the current leader of Box office stats.
I must praise director Tarun Madaan Chopra for directing a film on a serious issue that need attention – R@pe. Lately there have been films on this serious topic and Bollywood has seriously took a turn and has started giving the leading ladies of films a serious role. In fact many recent movies are centered around woman – Highway and Gulaab Gang are good example of it. W is latest addition in the list which tells the story of 3 successful business woman who get victim of r@pe and then plan to take revenge.
Will any of these two films be able to give competition to Jai Ho or even Gulaab Gang. Our box office surely needs a big hit. Not only commercial but critical too. After all we do not want another “Gunday” rated as the worst Movie ever made on popular site like IMDB.
